The inconsistency is real

About a year or so ago, I purchased an Oura ring (not an ad) because I wanted to know my sleep quality, steps, etc, without having to have an Apple watch (not an ad). I became obsessed with tracking my sleep, reviewing the insights, and tweaking things in my everyday life for better sleep quality and activity levels. About a month ago, I had a work trip, and somehow, I misplaced the ring charger; I had other things going on and needed to prioritize finding the charger or ordering a new one. Fast forward to a month later. I no longer use the ring, and my one to three-day inconsistency became a reality.

We need to realize this is what we do with a lot of good habits that we want to implement. You may want to walk a mile every day. You do great the first 5 days, then it rains, so you decide to stay back. The next day, you feel tired or work late, and you think, what is one more day. Then BAM! You are no longer going out for walks. My advice is to show up even if you still need to complete the task. Showing up is half the battle. So, the next time it rains, go outside and walk around the block; you're tired from work? Walk the length of a song. As long as you are present, your mind knows a task still needs to be accomplished. As for me, I went back to my Apple watch, but I will still stay focused on my activity insights.
